What the heck happened to Roxio's recorder support info??

Ok, I've wasted hours on this and am pi$$ed off to no end.

I FINALLY found that page, and that damn link is bad!! It goes some OTHER page! Their search SUCKS. It keeps saying I'm searching for "POPCORN"!!! That "RoxAnn" assistant of theirs is ON CRACK or brain dead!! They totally ABANDON anyone that is NOT using their @$%#$ latest version!!

You can't even d'load their freakin' updates without being subjected to crap. I am appalled that one must be subjected to so much BS just to download a go*damn update!! This is INSANE. I cannot login using my OLD login info, NOR ANY NEW INFO!! I keep getting "REGISTRATION_GENERAL_ERROR" and the same exact thing happens when I try and get to the forums! So I can't even ask this at their forums!

So POH-LEEZE, can someone tell me where is the freakin' link for recorder support? I have EMC8 and I need to know 1) how to download updates for it, and 2) if it will support a DQ60 (BenQ, DVD+/-R & RW, & DVD-RAM).

The only thing that's changed since then, is I was able to get the update downloaded, and was able to create a new user at the forums, so I posted it there. (I had to email the domain owner of Roxio.com to get them to do that). Hopefully someone will reply with the info tonight on whether or not that drive will work with EMC8, and the recorder support page.

Congratulations, you are doing better than me. Roxio's site has not been so friendly with me. Whenever I've tried to get updates I've been unable to download them.

That means I contact Roxio tech in Canada and it takes over a month to get the updates on CD, because of customs.

Yeah, I've been saying for years their support is absolutely the worse, it's hideous. This was even in the Adaptec days, but at least they HAD A WEBSITE back then with info easily found.

Why can't you d'load updates? Once they created the account for me, I was able to d'load the update for EMC8 (114mb!!) I looked at the HTML code of the page, and there wasn't even a d'load link IN IT!! They use some kind of JavaScript for the d'load button! So I couldn't even save the direct URL. A place should be shot that forces people to have to register, login, just to get a freakin' update. You can go to any other site and download their downloads at will, video cards, mobo's, any other hardware, Nero, AV software, Symantec goods, etc. The fact that they created forum that forces their "victims" to rely on the kindness of others is rather proof they have no support....at least not unless you want to pay $35 for it!!
