What the heck does this mean?

When I run PING from a DOS box...I get this message:

Comm Framework Could Not Load.
Pinging...


Then it sends and receives the packets without any problem, but that's it.

What does it mean?

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling all my network devices/protocols/clients...several times but nothing is working.

Suggestions?
