What the heck does "partition" mean on a netgear hub?

What the heck does "partition" mean on a netgear hub? Is it something special with the BNC connector or what? gosh!

Hmmm, that does make some sense. Can you explain further? I guess if the BNC connector was "partitioned" it wouldn't talk to the 8 RJ-45 ports.
 
Yes, that would be my understanding. I've never personally used it. I've heard of people using it in wireless setups so the wireless segment of the network cant talk directly to the wired segment. You might get more help from the Networking forum 😉
