okay, so brief history. I have a pair of sennheiser CX300 earphones, and I needed to get another one of those little rubber cover things. I found a thread on the ilounge forums for trading those things, and asked to buy a pair. Some guy PMed me and said he had two pairs for sale, each slightly different acoustic wise (apparently) and he said he'd send me both pairs for 2$, a reasonable price. I asked if he could get me overnight shipping and he said sure, and the total was about 7$. I asked him for his paypal and he sent me one with the address of "hailey_[lastname]@blahblah.com. Since this guy was clearly not hailey (although he did type like a 15 year old girl) I asked him about it and he told me that it was his first time selling something online (he was only 15) and he was using his sisters paypal.

first mistake

I figured it would be fine, it isn't really worth it to scam for 7 bucks and if I did loose it wasn't a *huge* loss. Besides, i'm only 16 and I have had many good experiences selling things online.

so long story short, I never recieve the package and the guy starts acting all suspicious. For example, he PMs me later from a new account (this is his second one) and says how he got "hacked" and asked if I recieved my product yet.

I sent a polite email to his sister to see if we can get this sorted out, and i'm not about to ruin her reputation over 7 bucks I lost by trusting her dumb brother.

opinions?
