What the h*ll is this WM player error??

I was playing Windows media player fine earlier today. Logged of and got back on and oppened it up to this

WMplayer.exe - application error
the instructions as "0x591c2522" referenced memory at :0x595c2a4c". The memory couls not be "read".
Press ok to terminate

run scandisk and try again, sounds like a disk err.

Well just ran a resotre to earlier today and bam everything up agin. What the hell was wrong?
