What the fvck, I am being trampled by spam email

I've had my Gmail account for about a year and a half now and I've never gotten any spam in it, at all. Very recently, like within the past two weeks, I am getting a TON. Like, 15-20 a day if not more. Luckily, Gmail IS recognizing them as Spam and as such I don't see them in my inbox, but it's still really annoying. What would cause this sudden surge?

No idea, but I've been having a problem with several getting through. They are the ones that act like they are giving you insider information about where some stock is going to go. It drives me crazy! I swear, whoever it is that sends these things out should be shot :|

why is it annoying if gmail is correctly filtering them? some people are so hyper-sensitive. just click select all, delete forever, and omg you are done! :roll:

Did you post your gmail address online?

They probably went through a lexicon to find addresses, i.e. brute force.

Well it is listed as my email on several sites that I visit, i.e. here.

And yes, I've been getting those fvcking stock ones, too.
