OMAHA, Neb. - A musical prodigy who completed high school at age 10 apparently killed himself at 14, authorities said.

Why did he kill himself though?😕

Pressure to perform, social outcast.. It's too bad, but not really surprising; people like that rarely fit in, and I imagine it'd be depressing.

🙁 yea...

"We're rationalizing now," she said. "He had this excessive need to help people and teach people. ... He was so connected with the spiritual world, we felt he could hear people's needs and desires and their cries. We just felt like something touched him that day and he knew he had to leave" so his organs could be donated.

She said Brandenn's kidneys went to two people, his liver to a 22-month old and his heart to an 11-year-old boy.

🙁 🙁

did you guys even read the article? no where in the article did it imply he was depressed or under any pressure to perform. it said he loved teaching people, so i doubt he was socially inept. way to make baseless assumptions...

That was probably the only stupid moment in the kids life.... killing him self. With the smarts that kid had, he could have helped millions of people instead of 3 measley people who of which we have no idea what will happen to them. It's kind of interesting how he choose to shoot him self in the head, possibly an indication of what caused his suicide...

you're right, all child prodigies are depressed, social outcasts who will eventually commit suicide because of pressure to perform. how silly of me to assume there could be no other reason for suicide.

Many people that smart find it hard to relate to people and lack social skills. Maybe he killed himself because he felt lonely and depressed?
