Another sore loser makes himself known.

It's sad that the governing of the country turned into just a zero sum game for you.

Anyways, it's a response to the criticism that Obama hasn't done anything.

What you talking about? Obama has done some seriously messed up stuff, that's why the country rejects him and his agenda. He's done plenty, plenty of things against the will of this nation and we REJECT Obama and his polices and agenda.

The only criticism of obama hasn't done enough is from communists, progressives, marxists, etc that wanted more of his radical agenda. A very small portion of the country think like that. The country is wide awake now to what Obama has done and wants to do, wide awake. And the country REJECTS this president for what he has done, NOT for what he hasn't done.

Since when did politics become a sport? This mentality is why both parties will stop at nothing to make the other look bad at the expense of the American people.

Grow up.

Lifted restrictions granting Cuban Americans unrestricted rights to visit family and send remittances to the island
Yet, as a "regular American," I cannot vacation on the lovely beaches in Cuba, nor can I enjoy some fine Cuban cigars (legally).

Been black. Palled around with terrorists. Hidden his real religion and agenda to replace our justice system with Sharia law. Bowed to Saudi Arabia, making them our rulers.

Oh, you wanted a real answer?

Well, there's his *expansion* of some of the Bush doctrines on prisoners, of the ability of the government to mark people including citizens for assassination outside of any court deciding to approve it under the law, deciding to appeal the court decision declaring Don't Ask, Don't Tell unconstitutional, for some.

Oh, you wanted radically *liberal* acts? Sorry, don't have those.

Took over student loans
Illegal moratorium on drilling
Took over car companies
Implemented Pay Czar, dictating compensation
Sued state protecting itself from an illegal invasion
Given extreme power to federal government to run or take over banks
Pushed cap and trade
Gave pass to race baiting black panther voter intimidation

And the great big one that sent voters into an uproar, the healthcare law unconstitutionally demanding every single person under penalty of law enter into contract for health insurance

It was never a question of "what the fuck has he done?" it was "OMG did you hear what he's fucked up now???"

You can add losing his senate seat to the repubs to the list.

Took over student loans

I don't usually respond to Spidey posts, but saw this one and will pick his first entry.

The old system was a *racket* where the banking industry was getting massive free profit by taking loans the government *guaranteed*, and then adding their own profit overhead and issuing the loans as if they were taking a risk. This cuts out a middleman than did nothing for the loans, but cost a lot, and saves a lot of money that is used to offer more help instead of filling banks' pockets.

This is an excellent change, including by non-partisan measure of any sort except the banks' owners, not just 'not a radical policy by Obama'.

Spidey's real agenda I suspect: the government should not give aid at all. He's the radical.

Let's stop pretending that this election had anything to do with anything other than the economy. Apparently Obama couldn't turn it around fast enough. Everyone knows this.

this is what i consider the biggest problem with politics. to many have the us vs them mentality. they will do anything as long as there party wins. no matter if its something that would be good for the nation. just as long as there party "wins".

it makes me sick. i often wonder how much better this nation would be if people would forget who is a D or R and vote for the best. then again i wonder how much better off we would be if we got rid of all the corruption and other bullshit.

A deduction is not an aid or handout. It's our damn money to begin with.
Its not your money. The government treats it as you never having earned it in the first place hence its deducted from your gross income.

Actually, that's not quite right. To an extent, you can even have zero deductions, because it is your money - at least until other provisions of the law say otherwise.

The government finds it more convenient for them and you that you have it withheld, because if it wasn't, a lot more taxpayers would find themselves unable to pay a big lump sum, and the government would have a lose-lose on its hands as it had to do a lot more expensive collection activities.

That's not to mention the politics, that there's a lot less citizen outrage with the withholding, than writing one huge check.

I think the law does require some reasonable withholding, but not for the reason that 'it's their money'.

That sort of claim just infuriates people who are easily infuriated.
