this is why a lot of people pirate. some buy stuff legitimately but then use loaders and the like to get around this crap. next time around they just pirate. not a good move when the legit user has to jump through hoops
my point exactly! buying software should be giving you ease of mind without needing to crack. now it seems the other way round, to activate Windows or Office it takes a min. of a 3 min call entering hundreds of numbers then listening to another 100 numbers to activate. But to pirate, you just click on the activate button and you're done! how fair is that?

OMFG, I had a similar deal at the car dealership today. I went in just to buy a car and the dealer gave me a friggin hard time trying to convince me to buy a different more expensive car I didn't want. After that, I had to spent an hour negotiating the price to what I KNOW is a reasonable price based on information on the net. THEN I had to sit for half an hour signing all this hassle paperwork and registration information. It took a freakin' half day to legitimately purchase a car. AND to top it all off, the guy told me I have to freakin' change the oil every 5,000 miles, check my tires, brakes, etc. Gotta renew my registration EVERY year!?!?!?

Purchasing a car legitimately should be easier! Next time I will be stealing one for sure.

I just purged nearly a dozen posts from the 4 of you getting into a flag waving contest over software licensing. Let me be clear that we're not going to entertain that again, so either this thread needs to be about G73S's problem or it's done. If you want to talk about software piracy in general, that belongs in a new thread (and probably in Software for Windows or OT, and not here)

Now with that said, it is the official opinion of the AT Moderation staff that while piracy is not theft (there's no deprivation of property), it is none the less illegal and cannot be justified. Furthermore we will not tolerate it here. So regardless of your personal views, we expect everyone to follow the rules here, and that includes not advocating piracy.
