what the difference with this types of Ram's ....

hi there ,

i found some SDRAM & DDRAM the chips is in one side only "single side" & the other's the chip with the both side "double side"

so what r the difference between this two of RAM ?


i notice somthing that the SDRAM with "Double side chip" work with old PC"s >>>>>>if the RAM is 256 M.B the system read it 256MB
but i plug the SDRAM with "Single side chip" , the old system dont configure it correctry >>>>>> if the RAM is 256MB the system read it 128MB
