What the dif with all the enermax power supplies?

Want to get a quiet enermax in the 431W size ATX. Anybody know whats what with all the model numbers available. Will be running a soyo with 1900 and cdrw dvd floppy and at least three hard drives plus assorted fans in a lian-li P68 case.

There are two version of each Enermax wattage-rated PSU - the standard kind, and the Whisper kind, which I think has a thermally-controlled fan. The Whisper version is obviously quieter, but slightly more expensive.

At Newegg, the vanilla 431W is $81, and the Whisper Enermax is $85.

BTW, I think the 350W version would be enough to power the system you have there.

What about the other two 431w versions? I see $81, $85, $99 and $105. So we are upto four not two? 🙂

EG465P-VE FC=whisper/fan control (by mobo)
EG465P-VE=no frills model. same as FC except no fan control (not a variable fan, runs 100% full blast 100% of the time). supposed to be whisper also...
EG465P-VE FMA=manual fan control. instead of mobo adjustable only like the FC, it has a little knob on back you can turn to change the speed.
EG465P-VE FCA=from what i gather, this is similar to the FC except not variable speed??? just on/off????
