What the crap?

Out of nowhere my computer speakers (5.1 klipsch) don't really work anymore. When I play sound, it is all muffled and sounds like it is only coming out of the subwoofer.

Is it possible to blow all my speakers or is there some setting I'm missing?

Gulp!

um, they're plugged in right? My old comp speakers died on merandomly too. First it was the right channel and then the left. When I opened it up it looked like a couple resistors had fried; looking at the burning marks on the case, seems like they might have caught fire.

Your AMP went poof.

If your still under the 1 yr, you can send the Sub to Klipsch.

If it's expired, you can get it repaired for like $60 I think???

i know this isn't right. but if i were you i would just buy a new set and switch and return the bad set, no because of $$$ but the hassle of filing a return claim or repair is just too much.

Did you abuse them?

I usually like to run my speakers as the following settings:

Master Volume: 75%
Wave: 100%
Bass: 50%
Treble: -

Control Pod:

Rear: 0
Center: 0
Sub: 0

Volume: No more then 75 db.

I found Stereo surrond (Audigy 2 ZS feature) to double the bass output, deff not healty for your speakers.

okay, even weirder was yesterday the speakers randomly starting working fine again for maybe a half hour. then, as i was playing music (at a medium volume at most) it went back to being as described above.

do you have a sound card?or do you use integrated? Because the only thing i can think of is a) connections are in properly, or were setup poorly b) sound card is defective c) sorry mate your speakers are defective 🙁

but, thats just 1 man's opinion
