i get this error when trying to view the properties of one my partions in partion magic, it sees the partition and knows that i have used 25 of the 51 gigs, but windows doesnt see it at all, and its not hid, and i dont know how to fix it besides formatting which i really dont want to do because this is my backup partition any ideas?
 
it means the crc is borked or the data corrupted, a crc is a checksum and basically lets you figure out whther or not the data has been corrupted or not
 
CRC = Cyclic (?) redundancy check.

It's an error checking code. Your software is seeing errors in the partition.

Try backing up your data and then rebuild the partiton.
