What the....Bose active suspension?

the "conventional" LS400 looks like it has the suspension from a 1983 chevy carprice with 560,000 miles that used to be a NYC taxi that was involved in 7 major accidents.

This , or similar, was in Popular science about 2 years ago.
I'm almost positive the system I saw was designed by the same guy who designed the MP3 program.
In the demo from that system , it shows a car hitting a curb and barely even smashing the tire with no
jarring of the occupants in the vehicle.
Don't recall the name assigned to it at the time , but it was named after one of the big cats.

I actually got to ride in this (used to work for Bose). It is actually kind of neat. The awe is more in the programming and DSP work being done. The mechanics itself has actually been done before, but it was always to expensive to impliment. Most of the research going on is too figure out how to get the price down into the acceptable category. They aready have a few major vendors lined up for it. If I give away anymore info...I would probably get sued, so I am just gonna shut my mouth now.
