What that site for cheap a/v cables?

I just got my DVI>HDMI cable from monoprice. Super fast shipping. I used USPS Priority.

I ordered a crap load of cables from them, DVI, HDMI, HDMI to DVI, VGA, RCA, component and USB. My order shipped promptly from KALIFORNIASTAN via USPS priority and I received it a few days later 🙂

Of course the only cable I have used so far is the HDMI but hey it works great. I guess if I ever need any of those other cables, I'm all set.

Anyone know why I can't just use composite rca cables for component? There is a huge difference in price but they look do be the same thing.

wasn't there a simpsons episode on it?

You can. Just use 3 composite cables to hook up the 3 component ports.

That's what I figured. So why do the component cables cost so much more?

For composite video cables only the yellow video one is necessarily 75ohms (at least it should be). The audio cables might not be, but actually it should still work anyway.

Oh, and cablesforless and partsexpress are a couple other good places.
