What term do you use about someone you are in a relationship with?

This has been on my mind a whole lot over the past few weeks. The woman that I am with let me know from the get go that if we begin a relationship that we will be partners. Not boyfriend and girlfriend, and never referred to be my ladyfriend. Just partners.

I'm happy about it. It's certainly one of the best relationships i've been in, but it's different. I have always referred my S.O.'s as ladyfriends, and it's somewhat difficult not to.

What do you call your significant other?

Right now, girlfriend, but I sometimes call her my wife even though we're not married yet ;)

sounds like you're ugly and she doesn't want anyone to know she's banging you.

but she's still banging you, so you must do something right.

Hardly. She introduced me to quite a few people as such. I'm certainly not ugly.

I must be doing something right...

I think anyone that wrapped around the axle about a label is likely to have some other issues that will eventually come up, but not always. Good luck in your relationship. :)

Call her your frictional genitalia stimulator for a week and then offer to dial it back to ladyfriend. You gotta nip this in the bud dude.

The apple of my eye.

The fruit of which I desire all I spy.

The treasure chest that arises intrigue, for which I must pry.

The one to whom I will never lie.

Simply put, my wife and soulmate.

this x1000000000000000

but obviously he likes that if he's with her

He likes to be dominated.

While it may be true I might like to be spooned once in a while, I'm still a man.

I am pretty sure if there is one dominant person in the relationship, it would be me. It's just a little more equal than most.
