What temps do you get with your sk-7?

What are your results with the sk7? fan, cpu speed, vcore, case temp? I seem to idle at low 50's and push 60c underload w/ a 39cfm sunon on a 2125mhz xp at 1.5v. Case temp is around upper 20's. I thought I was going to get lower temps :(

Get yourself a plate converter to run an 80 or 92mm fan with adjustable rpm, or use a zalman "fan mate 1". I like to keep mine low. I don't worry about temps; I prefer quiet. If your room temp is relatively high ( I keep mine at 80) any air cooled heatsink won't do you much good.

I have an SK7 with AS2 on a tbred b from SVC.com 1700+ @ 2.3GHZ 1.75v. Case temp is around 29C, processor under load runs 48C. 92MM Papst fan @ 55cfm strapped to the heatsink...huge hub =(

With my SK-7 and an 80 mm fan, my CPU (overclocked 2100+) temp consistently sits at 9 or so degrees above the case temp, eeking up by 2-3 degrees under moderate load (I never really run it at full load for a very long time).

Edit: oh yeah, default voltage.

I'm going to look at a 50cfm~ 80mm myself. Maybe a TT smartfan 2. Since I'm using one of my sunons I lost a case fan. Even though it's a "warm" cali day my case temps are at 32c :Q

SK-7 + TT Smart Fan 2 w/ 2100+ o/c to 2250 mhz@1.8v

@4800rpm = 35c idle / 42c load
@3100rpm = 38c idle / 46c load
@1500rpm = 45c idle / 57c load

I typically keep it @ 3100rpm when I'm not gaming since if I turn it down any less than that I still hear the 2 60mm fans I have on my NB and SB. 3100rpm has a tolerable hum to it, sounds like air (i think because of my duct) more than the motor... the 60mm fans just whine.

I have SK-7's in my dually 1600+ rig. I've never seen the temps get over 51C under load. And that is with Panaflo L1A's. May check your HS installation.

My Athlon XP 1600+ idles at 37 and reaches 40 under load. Case temp is usually around 39.

And that's with basic case fans, a cheap Speeze HSF and some generic thermal grease from CompUSA.

Expensive HSF does not always mean low temps.
