Can anyone tell me what temperature the Athlon 800 should be running at? According to my gigabyte software, my cpu is running at 44 degrees Celcius.... however, the temp gauge in my bios says 51 degress C! Which one is right?? Doesnt make sense because the software should retrieve the info from the onboard hardware monitor just as the bios does.
My case is at 39 degrees C, this is a little hot, isnt it?

That's a little warm, but not too bad. How is it relative to your room temp?

My Athlon 650 runs at 35-38c overclocked or not, makes no differance. Also,my system temp is always within 1c of cpu temp. Thats from my bios and from Aopens Hardware Monitor.

Veryape:
If I'm not mistaken the AOpen boards don't read the temp off the die itself, unless something has changed, and so they give a lower reading. Some boards do read the 'true' temp, but he didn't say which board he has.

That sounds a little too hot. A non OCd Athlon 800 shouldn't run that hot (unless you have poor ventilation maybe). I slapped a GFD on my Athlon 600 and jacked it up to 750 and i only noticed about a 6f difference in temp (78f to 84f) and that is after running games for a couple of hours. You may consider upgrading your heatsink or adding a case fan or something.
