I have to put A/C (usually 76 degrees) on all night. Can't stand the humidity at night in Northern Jersey.

Usually in the low-mid 70s. I am in upstate NY (Binghamton Area) and do not have central air. My strategy is to open all the windows on the ground floor at night and use two big box fans to EXHAUST air from my second-story windows. This draws cool night air in through the ground floor windows, the warmer air naturally rises to the second floor and is exhausted by the fans (poor mans A/C :) ) When I get up for work at 5AM, I simpy shut down the fans and close all the windows.

There are only about 10-15 nights that are so hot and muggy that this does not work - for those we resort to closing the bedroom doors and running the window A/C units just to make the bedrooms cool for sleeping.

79 when I am at home, 83 when I'm at work. Bum roommate and cat just sleep anyways all day, so who cares about it being hot inside.

[Eastern Hungary] I like to keep it a bit under 25 Celsius (76F, I guess).
An air conditioner is a must have, it's nearly 40C outside at the moment (17:20), it's been hot as hell in the past few years. Global warming, here we go.

I'd be sweating in anything hotter than 75F. My family normal keeps the house set at 70-72F at all times.

Do different cultures enjoy diff. temps?
