What temp should I expect?

I am running a Soyo SY-P4I875P with an Intel P4 2.6C and 512meg of dual channel DDR RAM

I have an ATI A-I-W 9700 PRO and I am curious what temperatures I should expect.

Both CPU and MOBO (soyo gave me a program called HW monitor there are two temperature settings

CHA and CPU; right now I am at 90F CHA and 113F CPU is this too hot?)

The reason I ask is because Sandra is telling me that my motherboard is "too hot" (Is the board rating the same as the CHA rating?)

I am worried that this could mean an untimely end to my board if I don't fix it, but I am also thinking

that its possible that Sandra is reporting bad info.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

P4 CPUs idle anywhere between the 30 to low 40 C range. 113 F is 45 C, so you are on the high end, but not out of the ball park. What's your ambient room temp?

If you can keep the full load temp below 50 C, you are doing fine.

My overclocked 2.6C idles @ 45C, under load I hit 70C, all stable. It was around 40C/60C when @ stock speeds and voltage.

what you dont want is 100C, I think that 50C and below is fine and after that, its a bit hot, but wont really matter.

0-50 is the green zone
50 to 75 is the yellow zone
75 - 100 is the red zone
