Off, it's hot enough with it off anyway. I keep my window open most of the time.

😕 I'm guesing you're not really in Indiana?

My roommate turns the thermostat on and I hate it. I usually just close my door, close the vent in my room, leave the window open at night and sleep in my boxers.

No I am.. it's like 10 degrees here right now.. but when you have a lot of computers/monitors you don't need heat.

73. But because of my saltwater reef fish tank's lighting, it rarely gets under that in our apartment, except for in the middle of the night or very early morning when the tank lights are off.

Haha, true. The computer room here stays about fifteen degrees warmer than the rest of the house.

When it's just me here, I leave it off, my computers more than make up for a Florida winter. My room mates seem pretty intent on wasting energy and complaining about the utilities bill though. In the summer the thermostat is set to ~60 (I normall turn it back to 75, but it always ends up back at 60) and in the winter my room mate's new favorite thing to do is sleep with the windows open, but rock the emergency heat on the thermostat - thats full blast heat no matter how hot the rest of the house gets.

For three people our utilities average ~ $375 a month. To put that in perspective, my rent is $375 a month, and my friends next door spend between 100 and $120 a month for the three of them.

Mine is around 67, but it is so drafty that the temps aren't really that high. Lots of sweaters & slippers in the extreme cold.

Around 60 usually, then 68-70 when we're home and not sleeping which is from 5pm-~10pm usually. We only have one zone, but I just run it a little lower to compensate and spend most of my time in the warmer upstairs. I have some sweaters and slippers if I get cold.

68.

OFF. Even turned off the gas. Who needs a heater when you have warm jackets and sweaters.

If we tried that, I'd have a lovely bill for replacing all my pipes after they froze and broke.

68 when I'm home and awake (6-8am and 6:30-10:30pm) and 55 degrees when sleeping or at work and I hold the temperature at 55 during the weekend when I'm out of town (sure is cold when I get back on Sunday).
