I live in San Diego. I have neither Heat nor Air Conditioning. I just open or shut the windows. Stays 60-70 degrees.

Too damn hot most of the time. I can't set the thermostat. My 30 unit apartment building was built in the 1920's and has a central steam boiler, and therefore has a central thermostat. The only control I have is to close the main valve to one or two of my three radiators, or open a window. I could have them put a different sized bleeders (controls how fast cold air escapes from the pipes and therefore how much steam makes it to my apartment) on the radiators, but I kind of like being able to open a window sometimes for fresh air.

Shame on Fahrenheit system. It sucks big time

water boils at:

F: 212F
C:100C

water freezes at:

F: the h*ll I know!
C: 0C

<< what temp do u set the thermastat at? >>

Not everyone use/like Fahrenheit. Add temp in celsius for each answer.

We keep it at about 72F although the wife likes it at about 75. I tell her to put on a sweater.

Same as in the summer, 68. My apartment always stays 68 wherever I am in it...my roommate lets it get much much hotter in his areas, but mine stays nice and cool. BTW, for those complaining about farenheit/celsius conversion...it's pretty easy math. Look up the formula, do the math, leave me alone about it. I know metric rules and standard sucks, but these servers are hosted in America, which uses standard, so deal with it.

What are you talking about?

°C and K is STANDARD per Système International

°F is the proprietary stuff. Beside you guys use the Celsius when griping about high CPU temps. Why?

66 during the day and 58 at night. Local Power Co spokesman was on news last night commenting on natural gas prices 25% lower than last year. He said supply and demand, and it was a warm fall. They tried to lock me into the inflated rate back in the summer. I didn't go for it.

My thermometer says 17.2ºC which, if I have done my calculations correctly is 63ºF
I think the heating needs to go on soon.

Well, here in America, metric is called metric, kelvin is called kelvin, and Imperial (which is the actual correct name for our measurement system) is called standard...don't yell at me, I didn't come up with the names.

And just so you know, I never use celsius when talking cpu temps, always use STANDARD! ;)

It's easy to convert from F to C.

(((F-32) * 5) / 9) = C

If you can't do this simple math in your head, you do not belong on this geekboard.
