What Temp is Too Much for the Northbridge?

My A8N-SLI Deluxe fan is dying (surprise, surprise) and making an annoying racket. I want to just unplug the damn thing until my passive cooler arrives in the mail. What temp is too hot? It's like 37C right now with the fan running between 1-2k rpms.

Thanks for any advice you can give.

The system temp is NOT the NF4 chipset temperature. It's actually located an inch away from the chipset. I dare you touch the heatsink with the fan unplugged, it will sear your finger!!!

I can touch my heatsink. It's actually running quite cool. :)
