<< Accelerated thought, and by that, i mean the act of thinking. Just as the core circuitry of a processor can be reworked to shorten traces and other steps to "speed up" the computing process, i think we will have a mechanism in place to do a similar thing with our neural traces... reorganization of neural synapses to improve throughput. I also believe that more basic neural system responsibilities such as breathing control, etc. will be handled by an external unit, thus freeing up valuable neural connections to be used to concentrate on higher level thought. >>

we use less than 10% of our brain anyway....
and I dont like the idea of a machine controlling my breathing and heartbeat

Don't know about the sony, but as I understand it with the pronto you can create or download custom GIFs and install hotspots for your buttons.

Imagine taking Mauls photo and use his eyes to change channels, nose and mouth for volume up and down.

No, better not to imagine that.

<< Quality programming on Fox(?) >>

Since you're a girl and you just had a baby I'm not going to smack you upside the head for that remark. How can you say that Titus, Greg the Bunny, The Simpsons, The Family Guy, and Boston public aren't quality shows?! Seriously, you'd better have yourself a timeout and think about what you just said.

Boston Public? Every single episode is the greatest challenge the staff has always faced! I'm sick and tired of hearing that! Teachers are cute though... Not the mention the students.

we use our whole brain, just not simutaneously :)
Anyways, humans will eventually be replaced by AI. Maybe not in the 50 years but probably in the next 500 :)

To tell you the truth I don't even watch it, I threw it on there so that I could have at least 1 "serious" show in the lineup (and because Jeri Ryan is in the show....hubba hubba :p:D).

That still doesn't excuse Elita1 from her blasphemy. I hope you're thinking long and hard over there about what you said missy.

Wow! Talk about prophetic! Look what I found on ZDNET's main page this morning (Which is surprisingly, gone now without a direct link) titled: Build a chip--on an inkjet printer?
Think about it, until this stuff is around, you'd better invest in UPS! I mean, there's no other way to get stuff you buy online currently... But if this happens products you buy online can be built on your desk :)
Combine with the "plastics printer" I mentioned above and you've got a trip to Walmart to buy a "AA-sized TFT display" for that GameBoy you bought online :) Well, maybe not even that, because there already is an organic display that some students made using a standard ink-jet printer with standard cartridges! Hmm... Being a futurist is tough... People keep doing it before you can think it...

I have a few more ideas, but they are feasible and might not be patented, so mums the word :)
