I'm trying to find one that doesn't cost $70 for fed and state...

I live in georgia.. am a student, and have a 1099 for a stock payout... I *think* I can still do 1040ez...

turbotax for the web is free for federal for me, but $20 for state. well worth it to me, especially since refunds come quicker.

Read here.

Believe the basic requirement of the 1040EZ (in regards to your particular situation) would be if your taxable interest income was $400 or less.

Plus, if you use it year after year, all of the previous year's information is pulled in automatically. Very time saving. 15 minutes to do a 1040 with itemized deductions this year. :)

Actually, TT for the web didn't copy over for me this past year.... I could see my on-line PDFs from last year but it didn't copy over any info.
