What system do you play WoW on and how does it run?

Hey just wondering what everyone is playing WoW on?

Me I'm running it on a

1700 xp oc to 1800
576 ram pc-133
gf3 ti-200 leadtek 128 meg card

I run at 1024x768 low detail with medium seeing distance and it runs pretty good. Dungeons I get 50 + fps and outside it depends where I am. The game lags when there's alot of people, when I'm outside with people, and at the ironforge auction house 🙂

Edit: And now another question, does WoW support SLI? What system would you need to run it at 1600x1200 res MAX detail AA/FSAA smooth as silk ?

i have basically the same setup as you do. I just ordered another 512MB of RAM. I hope it helps. I'll let you know if it makes a difference.

Currently the game runs decent in most places. Towns and places like Ashenvale don't run as smooth as I would like. Once my brother and I got jumped by 2-3 alliance players and my computer froze for like 1min. I was about to restart when the game came back into motion. All the alliance were dead and my brother was complaining on how I did nothing and he had to save my ass.

Its situations like that make me want to upgrade.

2500xp OC to 180mhz FSB
1GB PC3200 Corsair XMS RAM CL2
9700 Pro 128MB
XP Pro SP2

1280x960 everything on high, no aa/af. Runs very well. Except the Ironforge choke when I'm loading player models/equipment into memory.

P4 2/4 OC to 3ghz, 1gb pc3500 ram, X800 vid card, run at 1600x1050 (widescreen baby!) and it's great, no problems anywhere....the only 'glitch' that I see is when I use the hearthstone to teleport, the animation kind of freezes and then I suddenly appear at my destination.....

I'm so dumb...I'm a level 31 Tauren druid...I've been carrying around Chen's keg, a Harvester Head, and some other item that said "this item starts a quest" - I didn't realize you could right click on them to get the quest! I just figured it out last night when I got the gem at the end of the WC!

Chen's keg isn't worth much when you are level 31!

3 Ghz Prescott
1 GB DDRII
Geforce 6800 GTO

smooth as silk at 1600x1200x32 max AF no AA

sometimes i get server / zone lag and during large raids FPS will dip a little but other than that no problems

the freezing of the animation is not a glitch as far as I am aware. it is just a loading thing.
i got a 3.5GHz P4 and 9700pro and it runs incredibly well. i run over dialup and it is 98% of the time super silky, so I think that tells the whole story as far as what the graphical expectations should be. but don't get me wrong, I am in love with the graphics, they are so refreshing.

athlon 2400
radeon 9700 pro
768mb ddr 2700
windows xp

Runs well 90% of the time. Runs like crap in ironforge when you first arrive there (though it's marginally better now that santa is gone). In big PvP battles or raids, it has a tendency to slow down. However, last time it happened I had turned my graphical quality up a bit, and turned it back down afterwards. Haven't been involved in a similar situation since so I can't say how well it does.

The biggest problems for me are the occasional freezes that aren't necessarily my computer (though may be). For example, using the scroll wheel while looking through AH items. Sometimes it freezes for a minute or more. Sometimes when looting too.

dual athlon mp 2400
1gb ram
radeon 8500

i have my settings pretty low, but its playable
most of the lag and stuttering i see is during large raids, and i think that is really all server side

also, upgrading to 1gb from 512 made a big difference for me

My system does that...
1600x1280 smooth as glass...
8xAA 8xAS

Athlon64 3400 Asus K8N-E Deluxe 2 gigs of Crucial DDR400
PNY 6800 GT 256

everything i run including Doom3 and HL2 is run at 1600x1280 nothing has chugged yet... even EQ2 had decent performance..

My computer:

1.2 Ghz T-bird
1024MB PC2700
ATI 9600 Pro
XP Pro SP2

My wife's computer:

900 Mhz Duron
512MB PC2100
ATI 7500 AIW
Win98 SE

My computer runs just fine at 1024x768 it studders every once in awhile when in large populated cities. My wife's computer studders alot when more than three other players are near by or it's a slideshow in the major cities. I have ordered a better video card for her computer which I hope it improve the gameplay for her.

Edit:
I just update my and my wife's computer. Her's now has my old 9600 Pro and runs well but needs a faster CPU. My computer has a 9600 XT and runs great, my framerates doubled, from 30-40 to 60-70, and I was able to turn on all the the in game graphics setting.

P4-2.4
1GB PC3200
Geforece FX5900 128MB
XP Pro SP2
1280x1024, I think I have most everything maxed, no AA/AF

I get around 30-40 FPS outside generally, runs fine. I have 1 big raid experience. A couple of days ago about 100-120 alliance attacked crossraods (Malygos server, there are some posts about it on the realm forum). Eventually about 100 horde responded. It basically started kicking everyone off, way too many people. Horrible netlag. Eventually the numbers came down a bit once one of the alliance raid groups left (about 60 or so on each side). At that point I got about 9 FPS or so. Pretty choppy, but still playable, and a blast.

I had to run with 512MB for a week while I RMA'd one of my RAM sticks, that is really bad, lots of disk swapping. 1GB is nice, I can tab to browser to look stuff up on thottbot without any problems.
