What swappable zip & cdrw drives are compatable with Dell Inspiron?

I've been looking to purchase a used swappable zip and cdrw for a Inspiron 8000 laptop. Does anyone know if the Latitude units will work in the Inspiron? If not, where could I look up this info? I know it has to be on the web somewhere. I would hope it's on the Dell site but they seem more interested in selling you peripherals than giving out information about compatibility. Anyone? Thanks!
