What student insurance do you buy?

If you're in college, what health insurance do you have? I'm tired of buying the school's health insurance as I'm paying too much money for nothing. I just need to buy something cheaper. Any recommendations? I'm also an international student.

Thanks.

School heath insurance

Pro - cheap, everything is free
Con - my health center is closed on weekends, so sit around and die for a few days until Monday comes.

What are you smoking? Group health through school is some of the cheapest you'll get for that amount of coverage.

If you want catastrophic ailment-only coverage, go for a high deductible PPO or EPO and you'll pay less per month but you'll be paying out the ass for regular visits and other things until your deductible is met.

I pay $315 per semester to the school now. That's like 4 months. So, in a year, it's almost 1k. Provided if I take spring and summer classes. I had friends buy insurance from outside and they cost around $600+ the whole year. That company is gone. I can't find it. I'm just trying to save some money now. I grad in a year.

I do understand that if troubles come, I won't have to pay so much. The insurance would cover.

I should have studied actuarial science. These companies make so much money.
