What Stripe Size with Hardware RAID 1?

What stripe size should I use for a RAID 1 (mirroring) configuration in which many small files will be written and read? Is stripe size even used in a RAID 1 configuration? There is no striping going on in mirroring I thought?

RAID 0 is striping, and you are correct in that there is no Striping in RAID 1.
You may be thinking of RAID 0+1 (Striped and mirrored)
