The entire S&P 500, courtesy of VFINX (Vanguard S&P 500 index fund) and SWPIX (Schwab's S&P500), plus a bunch of small-caps through RYLPX (Royce Low-Priced).

I prefer to buy mutuals to hold-and-forget for the next 20 years rather than messing with individual stocks. More time for books, games, movies, and the occaisional bit of neffing. My stack of unwatched DVDs is high enough as it is.

Gold mining companies for me too:
Minefinders
Alamos Minerals
Silverado

They comprise the vast bulk of my Roth IRA. I have some boring mutual funds in my 401k.

I was thinking of buying some MandrakeSoft for $2.20

Blue chips and banks. Most issues since '93 with a few going back to '83. Almost all in DRIPs.
