I am moving soon and AT&T says I can DSL, never had it want to save a few bucks (and get away from comcast).

Can anyone take a "guess" and tell me what I can expect for speeds?

I am looking at the "Pro package" which is like 3.0/500 (or so)

Thanks

If the lines are good there would a little lose. If they are bad a big one.

There is No way to tell without trying.

If you can find a decent phone tech at your local phone company---they can try switching line pairs at your pedistal---one set may have a lot less noise than another alternative set of line pairs. But at that line leagth, noise will be the delimiting factor on speed.----and no sense paying for a higher speed than the line can deliver.

outriding, 3M/512k is reasonable for your last-hop speed. Actual speeds to actual sites depend on your ISP's network, whether they have good peering and enough back-haul capacity. These are things you can't really determine in advance, though, you just have to try it and see.
