I can check over at overclockers.com but sometimes people put in bullsh*t data. If you could be kind enough to just post your say of what speed t-birds overclock to a ghz pretty well with a FOP38 hsf. Thank you!

I'm currently looking at 900 becuase the OCer's database indictae that they average 1000+, and they really aren;t that much more $ than others. If all fails you still have a 900 for a fair price.

WHat's a Good HSF for T-bird overclocking ? Alpha or Globawin or any other ones?
Which ones are easier to attach?

I wanna hit a GHZ with a 700 or something.

The key is up to what T-birds get copper for sure. It seems that it is almost a sure thing that 1G+ T-birds get copper. And the chances go down as the speed decreases. If as many 900Mhz and 950Mhz come with copper, I would go with one of them, but I would like to know for sure so that I don't end up with a alum one.

i believe you'd get a pretty high chance to own a dresden t-birdie if you buy those retail "handpicked" chips...

You can check out the heatsink tests done at 2cooltek.

He tests several of the popular name heatsinks, including the Alpha 6035 and Globalwin FOP38. In his tests the Globalwin comes out ahead of the Alpha slightly.

Even if additional tests reverse the order, it's so close that I can't see spending the extra dollars for an Alpha (which aren't in stock anywhere I can find) unless you just have a deep loyalty to them.:)
