NO!!!!!!! Don't do it! Don't get the crucial 8500!

It uses 6ns ram. Look here. It compares the crucial LE card with other retail 8500's (non LE). If you can find one of those for a good price, that's the way to go.

8500LE is supposed to run at 250 core and 250 memory.
But becareful!! Some are clocked lower, like crucial and some saphire. Make sure that the card you are buying is clocked at 250/250.
The other slower cards are still decent, but why get less?

Good luck! :)

EDIT: added link to clock speed

:Q Wow! That link says the ram speed for the crucial is clocked at 165mhz! Wow, that's really slow...Thanks for the link! I guess it's better for me to get the $88 Sapphire (250/200) @ newegg..

BTW, what are artifacts and is Powerstrip the best ocing program for the 8500? What about Radge3dtweak? :)

If you're looking for a 8500le see if you can get your hands on a OEM built by ATI version of the 8500le, I brought a couple when Newegg still have them in stock and they're all clock at 250/275, they even use 3.3ns rams. Even my retail 8500 only use 3.6ns but the le uses 3.3ns. I try playing around with one of them 8500 les and I can overcock it at 275/300 with our even trying. My friend just othered a Crucial 8500 le too, hope it's not 250/166,
