That was the one I was going to buy - I ended up buying the Memorex CRW-1622 (2x2x6) for $150 though....which seemed like a steal too

A friend of mine bought a Smart & Friendly 2x4x6x (I think, anyhow it was slow) for like $300 at Fry's when they first came out.

Have a Plextor 12/4/32 SCSI. Paid whatever it was hypermicro.com was selling them for when it came out, probably $200 something. Has never given me a single problem though, works just as well as it did on day one. 5-6 minutes isn't too long for me for a CD, so I'm happy with it still.
