I would say, your friend is right. However, check out www.crutchfield.com. They have one Kenwood speker model and one Pioneer model that are 6-1/2'' but will fit the front doors.

I used to have a 1995 Civic Coupe. If I remember correctly, I had Kenwood three-way speakers all the way around. What size? Can't remember as it was over six years since they were installed.

It's definitely 6 ½ in the front.

I don?t know about the rear, but I don?t think rear speakers were standard on any model except the EX coupe and sedan in ?92-?95. I don?t have rear speakers in my ?92 LX, and I don?t care. My fronts sound good (JBL :D ).

No, my dad's 94 LX has speakers in the rear. All Pioneer, by the way, stock from the factory. Must have cut a deal with Pioneer that year.
