I'm looking for a list of sound cards that not only work in vista, but actually have all their advertised features work in vista (like hardware acceleration via openAL, a control panel that doesn't conflict with the windows sound thingie, etc)

Also, I'm looking for the best (<$15) sound card that works in vista.

Any ideas?

No, that's not a typo 😛 It doesn't have to be $15, but very cheap.

I'm assuming there's sound cards that only output sound, without any additional features?

Neither my Realtec ALC850 and Santa Cruz work in vista.

Really? My realtek ALC was fine in Vista... I am using an Asus A8N-E board.

at least...i think it did...darn, now I need to recheck!!!
