What sort of back-to-school deals does Apple usually have?

So I'm planning on getting a PowerBook soon (first journey into the Apple world) but it occured to me that they might start a sale and I wouldn't like to see the price a couple hundred dollars lower the day after I order :(

Has anybody payed attention in recent years to Apple's back-to-school campaigns? Any idea when they start or how much of the product line they cover?

They usually have a "Cram and Jam," which'll let you get an iPod for under $100 with a purchase of a Mac.

You do know about the Edu. discounts, correct? They'll save you a few hundred off the bat.

why would they do that? They won't even start moving until next year, and it'll be at least two full years before they move all their systems over.

The current deal is along with the EDU discount, you can get $100 back(http://education.apple.com/students/go/save/); this will likely be the best deal of the summer, though Apple may replace it with an iPod-esque deal(say $100 off an iPod Mini or betterinstead of $100 cash back) once the current deal expires on the 25th. It would be unusual for anything with better savings to come along at this point.

Unfortunately, that looks like it's US only :( Thanks for the heads up though, I didn't expect the deals to be ending soon instead of starting soon :p

Yep, I know about the regular discount and I already have an iPod. I'll keep my eyes open anyways :)
