It's 1:00AM and I'm working on homework. I just encountered a travelogue from an ex-girlfriend and an ex-best friend, and the usual winter blues are coming close to setting in. Consequently, rather than sleeping (as I should be), I'm listening to depressing music. Here's my choice:
Sarah McLachlan - Hold On, Acoustic Version.
Don't ask me why. It's probably because it's late; I'm more prone to fits of irrationality then. Regardless, that's my musical choice. What's yours? I'm not talking about anger-inducing music or some tunes that help that rage out; I'm really just wondering about that song that, whether you like to admit it or not, takes your guts and twists them, wrenches them, and spits them out. Then, when it's done, you hit replay. Know what I mean?
No, I'm not depressed. Nope, I'm not writing this as YAGT. I've got a beautiful girl and am a happy person. Regardless, sometimes I hear a lyric, a piano note, and something just kicks in.
Hold on, hold on to yourself, this is gonna hurt like hell.
