In the early 70s, I could listen to Deep Purple, Alice Cooper, Santana, Grand Funk Railroad, The Who, Genesis, Emerson, Lake & Palmer, Jethro Tull, Yes, Zappa, King Crimson, Gentle Giant, Uriah Heep, Pink Floyd, etc. without my folks making a fuss unless I played my records way too loud but if I tried to listen to Whole Lotta Love or The Immigrant Song by Led Zeppelin, that would drive my dad off the wall for some reason. He'd come into my room and give me the look. He might even raise his voice. :Q One of my uncles also felt the same way about Whole Lotta Love (which pleased my cousin to no end).
