Hello, so I just bought a brand new L90D, no dead pixels or backlight problems. Very happy so far, except for how the colors look in games. it's especially noticable since i have my CRT sitting right next to it. I dont expect to have as vivid colors as on my CRT but I know I can get better than this.

But I'm a complete noob when it comes to changing color settings and I've tinkered with it a bit so far and probably only made it worse.

I bet there's a program out there that will help me get the perfect contrast/color balance and I'm asking any of you if you know one you like.

So thanks in advance!

ok so i been reading a bit on the topic.

I tried using my nvidia calibration tool which looks pretty good. Here's my problem though, currently my lcd panel is using the DVI cable (I don't even have a spare vga cable I could use on it) and according to the user guide (and my own experience of this) while in digital mode I cannot change many settings.. cannot change color temperature.. cannot put it in auto-sync mode and basically cannot change ANYTHING but the brightness and contrast.

so what's up with that? is that so.. if I want to use my monitor with the DVI I can't calibrate the colors using the on-panel buttons ??

What if I got a vga cable.. and used that.. and then reverted to using the DVI cable.. would the changes I made while it was using the vga cable still affect it in dvi mode ??

this is so confusing.. still looking for a good software.. although I'm not even sure if a software can calibrate it in DVI mode...
