What software is best for playing DVDs on the PC?

all the dvds i pop in want to install InterActual player.. its a cr.ap player, right? im using wmp10 right now, but it does not seem suited for the job

Media player classic. It is just a simple player. You need to have a legit version of dvd playng software installed for it to work.

Theatertek is the undisputed best, zoom player is the most flexible, and cyberlink is the best value.

IIRC dosent it come with some kind of Cyberlink codec for that? I like PowerDVD on windows, mplayer on *nix.

I've tried a few different ones and I prefer Nero Showtime that comes with the Nero suite.

Power DVD.

also had good luck with win DVD.

either is usually free with an OEM or Retail DVD player

anybody have any issues with powerdvd lagging sometimes when playing dvds? i just installed it and have been noticing this
