What software for HD cloning?

I need to clone some non-identical hard drives of various brand names and that have multiple partitions under windows.
I would prefer something that will do all the partitioning, formatting and copying automatically. Price is not an issue. I would prefer not to use norton clone bloatware but I will if it turns out to be the most effective. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Most HD manufacturers offer free utilities for cloning. Partitioning options are auto-scaling or manual re-sizing during the clone process.

I've used free utilities by WD and Maxtor and paid Acronis TI10. All successful, same speed and same functions.

Hope this helps!

If what you are trying to do is just move the current drive
to another new drive, then Ghost or Acronis TruImage will
do the job fine. If you are doing this in Vista TI must be V11
to work. Any version of Ghost from 2003 & later works ok.
And Ghost, is not bloatware. It is a very tiny program that
run in DOS Mode and is the primary choice for a lot of IT techs.

I assumed that ghost was bloatware because most norton software is.
I'll give acronis a chance first because I've used their software before.
Cheers.

Definitely Acronis True Image. Using version 10, I went from a 74gb Raptor to a 150gb Raptor absolutely flawlessly.

EDIT: Also serves as an effective backup solution.

Never have used Acronis myself & I had Ghost 9
from Norton System Works 2003 Pro .. It did an
exact, flawless clone of my laptop drive (20Gb)
to a larger 100Gb unit. All I had to after it was
done was physically install the new drive. Booted
perfectly & so do all apps

I have used this method for the past 10 years - never a problem under any OS
