what software do you use to check cpu temp

You can always use your bios temps

I use BIOS or "PC Probe," which came on my Asus mobo driver disk.

Any opinions on this, because I have no idea if this is considered "good." I figure the main thing is to use something consistently so your data is all meaningful relative to itself.

MBM is great, but you may wish to make sure that the temps sync with the BIOS temps. Programs like SiSoft Sandra read the BIOS, so that is a place you can look in Windows. Personally, I adjust my MBM temps up 3 degrees F to match the BIOS. Better safe than sorry.
