What software do I need to make cartoons like SouthPark?

It must be simple to render animated cartoons like those with software. Its the script which should matter!

Please don't tell me its not easy to do so!

they draw all frames with hand initially and others, tweened. these frames,that are previously drawn are then modified and used..maybe they use AE. imo, south park graphics are easy compared to the simpsons/family guy...

I would imagine broadcast quality animation is far from an easy thing to do, regardless of the tools used.

Anime Studio is an inexpensive way to get started with that kind of basic 2D animation.

There are many good animation programs but all take anywhere from days to years to learn. South Park uses Maya but unless you have a lot of time and money that isn't the way for a hobbyist to go about animating.
