What socket will the dual cored Athlon FX be?

Do any of you all what socket will the dual cored Athlon FX be?

939 with bios microcode update from what i have seen. Only one memory controller active
940 as well for the Opterons

k cool, thanks. i've been trying to figure that out for a loong time, because since 940 is certainly compatible for dual cpu's, they should be fine for dual cored, but i wasnt sure about socket 939 since their relatively new.

They have to be 940, and possibly 939 as well. AMD already said that the Dual Core Opterons will be a drop in replacement (with a possible BIOS update). Seeing as the FX chips are unlocked Opterons, I would imagine that they will be surely be avaiable in 940 versions, with 939 a mabey.

Actually they said that the mainstream 64's will be dual core also so unless they create another socket contray to their roadmaps than 939 will be dual core. The FX's are on the 939 now so they have to use the 939 or create another new socket which I doubt.
