I want an external monitor for my Thinkpad X61, either 22" (1680 x 1050) or 24" (1920 x 1200). I know that technically the X3100 chipset supports 1920x1200 but I'm limited to VGA out. Will this work? I'm not gaming or watching movies, this is basically all office work with lots of reading and typing.
Hm well after more googling it seems that 2048 x 1536 32bpp at 85Hz can be done over VGA port, so I'm assuming it's safe. Has anyone done this before?
