you may not be able to fit a gtx in but the lower end stuff should be find

x700le

seems to be roughly 7 inches deep and 4.5 inches wide

some people hate the imperial system, when you live next to the states and have to use both systems

My gtx is totally ginormous. Something like 8 to 10 inches in length. Had a hard time shoehorning it into my case at first.

was afraid the GTX would be very long , if can get a better idea of length and hieght will determine if one of these could be shoe horned in place

The GTX is about 1 - 1.5 inches shorter than an ATX board is wide; so if an regular full ATX fits in your case, then the card shouldn't be a problem. You might have problems though, if you have a tall passive HS for your chipset; or if you actually have a IDE connector next to the X16 slot; that would be a very tight fit.

You could try the 7800GT...it's supposedly an inch shorter than the GTX, if that counts for anything. :)

case is very tight fitting

to give a idea , dimensions are as follows
10 5/8 wide
10 tall
13 3/4 long

problem is that the floppy drive goes over the top of the cards on the matx board. this is where i didnt measure twice and make once happened. i did get my scsi card to clear the floppy drive by cutting the floppy drive on that side. but if the card is to long then i am afraid i cant cut enough of the floppy drive for it to fit. if the video card narrow enough then it will fit under the floppy drive.

this is why i am asking for some measurements of various cards so i can make a card board template to see if problems will occur before i make a purchase. if there is a paticular brand of video card that will fit that would be best for me to use

According to the size of your case, I'd estimate that it'd be darned near impossible to fit a working 7800GTX into it.

You might be able to squeeze an x800- series in though. Guess out 2-3 inches from the end of the PCI-E slot.

thinking ATI as well but as many options before i can decide what needs to be done. i can use a mitsumi floppy drive and cut a corner off the backside . this would allow for a little more room for the card

thank you

looks like card will be taller and longer than the ATI . i will use these measurements as well to see if one would fit

prime stable now for over 24 hrs at 2700mhz, and i'm useing the computer. i like A64s

looks like if i use a mitsumi floppy drive which may require some cutting i can use a ATI video card

are all ATI 800 series cards same width and length? if not then what is shortest one available ?
