I'm thinking of adding 1 H1A Panaflow fan for intake and two L1A's for exhaust..however what sizes do you guys have in yours? What's the max size I can put for a case fan without making alterations?

I'm thinking of 92mm Panaflow's but not sure if its feasible. The decibal level for the 92mm is only 2 db above the 80mm. Any input or advice would be great!

Thanks

Eric

The purple brackets hold 80mm fans. As my sig. says I have 3. 1 intake, 2 exhaust. Very quiet. All I can here now is the whining of my harddrives.

Yeah, its 80mm. I have the same case and we'll be switching to the exact same fans you're talkin' 'bout. Right now I'm trying to decide whether to use 2 L1A's in front and 2 L1A's in back or, switching the front ones with H1A's. If you look further down, I posted a similar questions on what to use, H1A's, or L1A's. Few ppl said one way or another, just depends on your cooling/noise levels you want.

I've got two L1a's in front and two in back. Keeps the air flowing really good and is super quiet.

I did the 92mm mod on my 1030

but they had a noticiblely higher whine

so i went back to hi-flo 80s and that worked out better 4 me

I put 2 92mm high speed fans in the front of my Antec 1040 case and it is 1C cooler with 2 80mm L1A Panaflo fans than it was with the high speed 92mm fans. If you want to try the 92mm fans I just took the plastic fan cages out and used the thick double faced foam tape to put the fans in, it holds the fans just fine and you can take them out and remove the tape without much trouble to put it back to stock if you like.

What temps are you guys seeing by using only L1A's? do you think one H1A and 2 1LA's will make any significant decreases in temp compared to 3 1LA's. If not, then I'd probably just go with 3 1LA's to reduce noise. Your thoughts?

20C case and 32C cpu is what I get with an XP1600 not overclocked. That's with the four L1a's. Works for me.
