I also rarely use my favorites. By habit I use CTRL L then begin typing in the beginning of the URL and it autocompletes the rest.

Except for AnandTech hot deals I have that bookmarked because when I type forums.anandtech it brings up like 10,000 threads.
 
lotsa of sites about web development, hardware, software and abunch of other un organized stuff... too many to list
