So you're the bastard who keeps breaking my Fisher Price hoop.

Actually that was me, sorry. I thought it was a very colorful toilet... several times.

Anyway, you might want to hose that whole area down.

Damn, Wilt Chamberlain must've been a patriot missle of a player for taking all those shots out of the air.

It's not the same game anymore. With the number of big men, and team depth in the NBA and the rules changes(3 sec, both offence and defence) it will probably never happen again.

Plus
1. Nobody plays 48mins anymore because of the increased pace of the game
2. It used to truly be a game of half court sets, fast breaks were rare.
3. The advent and growth of the 3pt shot created much longer rebounds and spread the ball around

Well...it has more to do with the shots people took. Back then, there were a lot more jump shots. Today, a lot more above-the-rim play, e.g. much higher shooting percentage.

Now, the fact that people don't get as many rebounds anymore doesn't mean that there haven't been some fabulous rebounders since. I know Dennis-Rodman is the all-time leader in rebound rate (something ridiculous across his career around 23% or something)
